2007 has been a year where LCN has experienced some resistance from people not agreeing with the fact that a Norwegian club has been established, but for the most we see that the club is welcomed amongst hunters that own laikas, and not just in Norway, but also in other countries.

We have been able to inform about the Laika breeds through hunting magazines, and seen that the dogs are more understood for their destinctive way of hunting.

2007 was the year that we offered field tests for our members that want to try their dogs on something else than moose and birds.

Thanks to Mr. Sergey Bogatov in Irkutsk, East Siberia, we where able to put together tests that is suited perfectly for the Laikabreeds, and that are based on the Russian trials for rating Laikas on different kind of game.
We had to make som changes in order for them to fit into the Norwegian regulations for hunting and concider the different geography we have here, but they are basiclly the same as the Russian trials.

Only 1 out og 5 dogs got approved unfortunally, and this show us that we still have a long way to go in order to increase the hunting quality amongst our dogs.

Just a few Laikas recieved a diploma on the official trials in Norway, and that was on moose.
